I find it hysterically funny when republicans try to come across like they are the champions of the working class.
Good speech but it completely ignores the fact that America is declining not only in prosperity but in regards to the civil liberties and equality that once made us great, thanks to our misguided approach to “national security”. The main flaw here is that the senator confuses the “shining lights” metaphor with our military might which might make sense since that is the only aspect of our society where we are practically unchallenged but it speaks volumes of how far we have fallen.
